Our Purpose
The purpose of Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC) committee is to inform professionals and future professionals about A.A. — what we are, where we are, what we can do, and what we cannot do. They attempt to establish better communication between A.A.s and professionals, and to find simple, effective ways of cooperating without affiliating.

Description
The duties of the Cooperation with the Professional Community Committee Chairperson have customarily been to:
- Provide information about Alcoholics Anonymous to interested professionals, encouraging good rapport between them and members of the AA community.
- Facilitate the flow of information about CPC work within the Area 46 A.A. community, especially the need to provide, when permitted, A.A. materials at relevant professional functions.
- Create a Working Committee to include District CPC Chairpersons and support their efforts to inform Districts and Groups of the importance and the benefits of performing CPC Service work.
Committee Meeting Schedule
The Cooperation with the Professional Community Committee is currently meeting on an ad hoc basis. Please contact cpc@nm-aa.org for more information.
Get Involved (A.A.Members)

Professionals who work with alcoholics share a common purpose with Alcoholics Anonymous: to help the alcoholic stop drinking and lead a healthy, productive life. We can serve as a source of personal experience with alcoholism as an ongoing support system for recovering alcoholics.
