Our Purpose

The purpose of Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC) committee is to inform professionals and future professionals about A.A. — what we are, where we are, what we can do, and what we cannot do. They at­tempt to establish better communication between A.A.s and professionals, and to find simple, effective ways of cooperating without affiliating.

Professionals who work with alcoholics share a common purpose with Alcoholics Anonymous: to help the alcoholic stop drinking and lead a healthy, productive life. We can serve as a source of personal experience with alcoholism as an ongoing support system for recovering alcoholics.
